Q. My insurance company is telling me to go to another body shop; am I required to go there?
Do you have more questions? Talk to our professionals.
A. No. The choice of the body shop is yours. When your insurance company contacts you, tell them you want Lackey Body Works to repair your vehicle, not the shop they suggest. Your insurance company cannot require you to have your vehicle repaired at any certain collision repair facility.
Q. If you’re a preferred shop for my insurance company how can I be sure you’re not looking out for their best interests instead of mine?
A. Even though we have established relationships with many insurance companies, we're still looking out for the best interest of you, our customer. We're working for you. Being a preferred shop allows us to completely handle your claim from start to finish, making the claims process less stressful for you our customer. Our commitment is to our customers and their guaranteed satisfaction.
Q. My insurance company told me I have to get 3 estimates, is this true?
A. No. You're not required by Missouri state law to obtain more than 1 estimate.
Q. Who collects my deductible and when?
A. It's your responsibility to pay Lackey Body Works your deductible, after the repairs have been completed on your vehicle.
Q. Will the paint color match?
A. Lackey Body Works and our highly skilled paint staff take special pride in the color matching process. We employ the use of top-of-the-line equipment and DuPont refinishing products to ensure factory color match every time.
Q. Can I wash my car after the repairs are completed?
A. As a courtesy to our customers we wash and detail your vehicle after repairs are completed and before delivery to you. You can wash your car as soon as you would like with no problems. However, Lackey Body Works has used DuPont refinishing products and they recommend that you do not WAX anything that was painted for 90 days. At delivery of your vehicle you'll receive an insert about how to care for your new finish.
Q. What if the insurance estimate is lower than your estimate?
A. A lesser estimate may not include all items necessary to restore your vehicle to pre-loss condition. If you have any questions about estimate differences, contact the estimating staff at Lackey Body Works, and we'll be happy to assist you.
